Bad News

Bellotti is staying at Oregon, according to sources. Boo!

UCLA Head Coach Search Nears its Conclusion

I've been having a hard time concentrating on anything else but this search, and now this: we may steal the University of Oregon's head coach, Mike Bellotti. This would be a dream come true. From the LA Times this morning:

A question that has quietly plagued Bruins football followers for decades -- does our school really care about our sport? -- finally has an answer.

His name is Mike Bellotti.

He is one of the best offensive minds in the country, probably the toughest coach in the Pacific 10 Conference and, by many accounts, a builder of teams that I believe were good enough to win two national titles in the last seven years.

Bruin nation is collectively holding its breath.

UCLA is Also Awesome

UCLA is back up to number 2 in the polls, right below Florida. Ugh.

I am extremely concerned that our star this year is Arron Afflalo, the one who...lost the title game for us last year. Jordan Farmar came to play. Too bad Afflalo freaked out and failed to be the outside presence we needed.

It will happen again. I don't want it to, but it will. Mark my words.
